    PURE STRENGTH: The Final Phase of Our Strength Series

    Welcome to Pure Strength — the final phase of our strength-focused training series before we transition back into hypertrophy work. In this phase, we are zeroing in on one of the most exciting and rewarding milestones in training: working toward your 1 Rep Max (1RM).

    Your 1 Rep Max is the maximum amount of weight you can lift for one full repetition with proper form. Testing and training around your 1RM helps push your absolute strength to new heights, showing you just how much power you've built over the past phases. It also sets a solid foundation for future programming, allowing us to tailor your weights for hypertrophy and overall performance even more precisely.

    In this phase, you'll notice the structure shifts to 6 sets of very low reps — between 1 to 5 reps per set. This low-rep, high-weight style of training is essential for true strength development. It focuses on:

    • Maximizing motor unit recruitment, which teaches your body to fire more muscle fibers at once

    • Building neurological efficiency, improving how your brain communicates with your muscles

    • Increasing overall power and force production, so you can lift heavier with better control

    This type of training is crucial for making real strength gains and preparing your body to handle heavier loads with confidence. It's intense, it's rewarding, and it will unlock a new level of progress for you before we shift gears back into muscle growth (hypertrophy).
