Herb-Crusted Pan Seared Steak with Roasted Garlic
Savor a beautifully pan-seared 6 oz sirloin steak, perfectly crusted with a medley of fresh rosemary and thyme, and accented with the mellow warmth of roasted garlic. A harmonious blend of herby notes and juicy, tender beef makes every bite a delight.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Garlic Clove
1 teaspoon Fresh Rosemary
1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme
A pinch Salt
A pinch Black Pepper
PREPARATION
Take the sirloin steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mince the garlic clove finely and mix with chopped fresh rosemary and thyme. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Rub the herb and garlic mixture evenly over both sides of the steak.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
Once the oil is shimmering, place the steak in the skillet. Sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust timing for desired doneness.
After cooking, transfer the steak to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
