Savor tender, seared lean sirloin steak enhanced by a fragrant herb-garlic butter while paired with crisp, golden roasted baby potatoes. This dish strikes a perfect balance of savory flavors and satisfying textures, making it an ideal choice for a wholesome dinner.
INGREDIENTS
4.5 oz Lean Sirloin Steak (127g)
150g Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 sprig Fresh Thyme
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for the potatoes.
Wash the baby potatoes, then toss them with a little oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for about 20-25 minutes until golden and tender.
While the potatoes roast, pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a small drizzle of oil. Once the oil is hot, sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side (adjust time according to thickness) until a rich, golden crust forms.
Just before finishing, add the unsalted butter, minced garlic, and fresh thyme into the pan. Tilt the pan slightly and use a spoon to baste the steak with the melted herb-garlic butter for about 1 minute.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Plate the seared steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes. Drizzle any remaining herb butter from the pan over the steak for added flavor and serve immediately.
