INGREDIENTS
6 oz Lean Sirloin
1 medium Red Bell Pepper
1 medium Yellow Onion
4 oz Whole Wheat Roll
1 tsp Olive Oil
Seasonings (Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder)
PREPARATION
Thinly slice the lean sirloin into strips.
Core and slice the red bell pepper into strips, and peel and slice the yellow onion.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the teaspoon of olive oil.
Sauté the onions first for 2 minutes until they begin to soften, then add the bell peppers. Continue to cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized.
Push the vegetables to the side and add the lean sirloin strips to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and sear the beef for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking.
Toss the vegetables with the beef to combine all flavors.
Slice the whole wheat roll open and, if desired, lightly toast it. Fill with the sirloin and vegetable mixture.
Serve warm and enjoy your nutritious lean sirloin philly.
