Pan-Seared Chicken with Sweet Soy Glaze and Roasted Broccoli
Savor tender, flavorful chicken breasts seared to perfection and finished with a sweet soy glaze, paired with perfectly roasted broccoli for a well-balanced and satisfying meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast (170g)
150g Broccoli Florets
1 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce (15g)
1 tsp Honey (7g)
1 clove Garlic (3g)
1/2 tsp Fresh Ginger (1g)
2 tsp Olive Oil (10g)
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for the roasted broccoli.
In a small bowl, combine the low sodium soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated fresh ginger to create the sweet soy glaze.
Pat the chicken breast dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breast and sear for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Pour half of the glaze over the chicken during the last minute of cooking and allow it to caramelize slightly.
Meanwhile, toss the broccoli florets with the remaining olive oil. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until tender and slightly crispy on the edges.
Drizzle any remaining glaze over the chicken once it’s plated. Serve alongside the roasted broccoli.
