Pan-Seared Chicken with Buttery Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus
Enjoy a balanced, comforting plate featuring a perfect sear on a tender chicken breast, complemented by creamy garlic-infused mashed potatoes and crisp roasted asparagus. This dish brings together rich, savory flavors with a light yet satisfying finish.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast (approx. 170g)
150g Potato (Yukon Gold or Russet)
5g Unsalted Butter
1 clove Garlic
100g Asparagus
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breast and pan-sear for about 4-5 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown.
While the chicken cooks, peel (if desired) and cut the potato into chunks. Boil in lightly salted water until tender, about 10-12 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add minced garlic and butter, then mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the asparagus with a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
Plate the pan-seared chicken alongside a generous serving of buttery garlic mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. Serve warm.
