Enjoy a perfectly pan-seared lean sirloin steak enhanced with a rich garlic butter sauce, paired with crispy roasted red potatoes. The dish is seasoned with fresh herbs and a hint of olive oil, creating a delightful balance of savory flavors and satisfying textures.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Lean Sirloin Steak
1 medium Red Potato (150g)
2 cloves Garlic
1/2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) for roasting the potatoes.
Dice the red potato into small cubes or wedges. Toss with olive oil, chopped fresh rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden brown, stirring halfway through.
While the potatoes are roasting, let the steak sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side (adjust to desired doneness).
During the last minute of cooking, reduce the heat to low, add the minced garlic and butter to the skillet. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Plate the steak alongside the crispy roasted potatoes and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the top. Serve immediately.
