Enjoy a perfectly seared salmon paired with vibrant steamed asparagus and a creamy garlic-infused mashed cauliflower. This dish balances savory flavors and fresh textures, delivering a delightful dinner that’s as nourishing as it is satisfying.
INGREDIENTS
7 oz Salmon Fillet (198g)
6 Asparagus Spears (100g)
1 cup Cauliflower Florets (107g)
1 Garlic Clove
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Season the salmon fillet with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of lemon juice.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add half the olive oil.
Place the salmon skin side down (if skin is on) and sear for 3-4 minutes until a crust forms. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through.
While the salmon cooks, steam the asparagus in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 4-5 minutes until tender yet crisp.
For the garlic mashed cauliflower, steam the cauliflower florets and garlic clove together for about 8-10 minutes until very tender.
Transfer the steamed cauliflower and garlic to a bowl. Add the remaining olive oil and a splash of lemon juice, then mash to desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed asparagus and a generous serving of garlic mashed cauliflower. Serve immediately.
