Enjoy a deliciously crispy baked tofu dish drizzled with a vibrant and tangy sesame ginger sauce. The tofu is perfectly baked to achieve a satisfying crunch while remaining tender inside, making this dish a delightful blend of textures and flavors perfect for any meal.
INGREDIENTS
400g Firm Tofu
2 tbsp Cornstarch
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
1 tsp Honey
2 cloves Garlic
1 tsp Ginger, grated
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
2 tbsp Scallions, chopped
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Press the firm tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
Place the tofu cubes in a bowl and gently toss with the cornstarch until evenly coated. Drizzle the tofu with sesame oil and toss again to coat lightly.
Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even crispiness.
While the tofu is baking, prepare the sesame ginger sauce by whisking together low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and an additional few drops of sesame oil if desired.
Once the tofu is crispy and golden, transfer it to a serving bowl and drizzle with the prepared sesame ginger sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped scallions before serving. Enjoy your flavorful and protein-rich dish!
