Crispy Sesame-Ginger Tofu with Roasted Broccoli
Enjoy a vibrant mix of crispy tofu glazed in a savory sesame-ginger sauce paired with tender roasted broccoli. This dish offers a delightful balance of textures and flavors, with a light crunch from toasted sesame seeds, and a refreshing kick from fresh ginger and garlic.
INGREDIENTS
350g Extra-Firm Tofu
200g Broccoli
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
1 tsp Fresh Ginger (grated)
1 Garlic Clove (minced)
1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Maple Syrup
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Press the extra-firm tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, maple syrup, grated ginger, and minced garlic to form the marinade.
Toss the tofu cubes in half of the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
While the tofu marinates, prepare the broccoli by cutting it into bite-sized florets. Toss the broccoli with a little salt and a drizzle of sesame oil if desired.
Spread the broccoli and marinated tofu onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until the tofu edges are crispy and the broccoli is tender and slightly charred.
Remove from the oven and drizzle any remaining marinade over the tofu and broccoli. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
