Enjoy a vibrant and savory dish where tender chicken is bathed in a sticky, aromatic ginger-garlic glaze with a hint of sesame. This recipe delivers a satisfying flavor punch and a balanced protein boost, perfect for a nourishing meal any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast (170g)
1 tbsp Fresh Ginger (6g)
2 cloves Fresh Garlic (6g)
1 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce (15g)
1 tsp Honey (7g)
1 tsp Sesame Oil (5g)
1 tsp Toasted Sesame Seeds (2g)
PREPARATION
Thinly slice the chicken breast into bite-sized strips or leave as a whole piece if preferred.
In a small bowl, combine grated fresh ginger, minced garlic, low sodium soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil to create the glaze.
Place the chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the glaze over it, making sure the chicken is well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated chicken along with the extra marinade.
Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and slightly caramelized by the sticky glaze.
Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the chicken and garnish with sliced green onions if desired before serving.
