Dive into these fudgy, nutrient-packed brownies where hearty black beans meet rich cocoa and a boost of protein. This balanced treat builds a unique twist on traditional brownies, offering a robust chocolate flavor, a moist texture, and a protein punch perfect for any time of day without compromising on clean ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup Black Beans (130g)
1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (30g)
1 tablespoon Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (5g)
1 tablespoon Almond Butter (16g)
1 large Egg (50g)
1 tablespoon Maple Syrup (20g)
1 tablespoon Dark Chocolate Chips (10g)
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder (2g)
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (5g)
Pinch of Salt
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a blender, combine the black beans, protein powder, cocoa powder, almond butter, egg, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and well combined.
Add the baking powder and pulse a couple of times to mix it evenly into the batter. Stir in the dark chocolate chips by hand.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing into portions. Enjoy naturally, as a balanced breakfast, a satisfying lunch treat, or a healthy dinner dessert.
