Savor a beautifully seared top sirloin steak enhanced with a rich herb-garlic butter, perfectly paired with roasted baby potatoes that are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. This dish offers a balanced blend of protein and hearty flavors, making it an ideal choice for a satisfying meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top Sirloin Steak (~170g)
150g Baby Potatoes
1/2 tbsp Unsalted Butter (~7g)
1 Garlic clove
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for roasting the baby potatoes.
Wash the baby potatoes and cut any larger ones in half to ensure even cooking. Toss them with the extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and golden, flipping halfway through.
While the potatoes are roasting, pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust timing according to desired doneness).
In the final minute of cooking, add the unsalted butter and thinly sliced garlic to the skillet. Spoon the melting herb-garlic butter over the steak continuously.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Slice the steak against the grain and serve alongside the roasted baby potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
