Savor the succulent flavors of pan-seared salmon delicately glazed with a tangy-sweet honey-ginger sauce, complemented by a medley of crisp, sesame-kissed vegetables. This dish offers a balanced bite with vibrant colors, enticing aroma, and a satisfying mix of textures.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Salmon Fillet
100 g Broccoli
1/2 medium Red Bell Pepper
50 g Snow Peas
1/2 medium Carrot
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Fresh Ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1/2 tsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
1 tsp Sesame Oil
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon dry and season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, freshly grated ginger, minced garlic, low-sodium soy sauce, and sesame oil to create the glaze.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon, skin-side down if applicable, and sear for about 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Turn the salmon over and drizzle half of the glaze over it. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through.
Meanwhile, in another pan or the same skillet once salmon is done, stir-fry the broccoli, sliced red bell pepper, snow peas, and carrot over medium heat until tender-crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
Drizzle the remaining glaze over the vegetables and toss gently to coat.
Plate the salmon alongside the sesame vegetables and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top for added crunch and flavor.
