INGREDIENTS
400g Extra Firm Tofu
1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Fresh Rosemary, chopped
1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme, chopped
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then slice into 2 thick steaks.
In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Gently pat the tofu steaks dry and then brush them generously with the garlic-herb mixture on all sides.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the tofu steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until a golden-brown crust forms.
Lower the heat if necessary to avoid burning the herbs. Once both sides are crispy and the tofu is heated through, remove from the pan.
Serve immediately, drizzling any remaining pan juices over the tofu for extra flavor.
