A delightful dinner option featuring a tender, pan-seared salmon fillet crusted with fresh herbs and a side of crisp asparagus tossed in a light garlic butter sauce. This dish harmoniously balances rich flavors and textures, making it a satisfying, nutritious meal for any time of the day.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Asparagus
0.5 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tsp Fresh Mixed Herbs (Parsley & Dill)
1 clove Minced Garlic
1 Lemon Wedge
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and the fresh mixed herbs.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once shimmering, add the salmon skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for about 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Carefully flip the salmon and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through but still moist in the center.
Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and asparagus. Sauté for 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the asparagus starts to become tender.
Add the unsalted butter to the pan and toss the asparagus until evenly coated and cooked to your desired crisp-tender texture.
Plate the salmon alongside the garlic butter asparagus, and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice from the lemon wedge before serving.
