INGREDIENTS
4 oz Sirloin Steak
100g Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
1/2 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for the potatoes while you start the steak.
Wash and halve the baby potatoes. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, a pinch of salt, pepper, and half of the fresh herbs.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until crisp on the outside and tender inside.
Season the 4 oz sirloin steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side, adjusting the time for your preferred doneness.
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the butter, minced garlic, and the remaining herbs to the skillet. Spoon the melted herb-garlic butter over the steak as it finishes cooking for about 1-2 minutes.
Remove the steak and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
Plate the rested steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes, and enjoy your balanced, flavorful meal.
