Herb-Garlic Butter Seared Steak with Roasted Baby Potatoes
Enjoy a succulent seared steak elevated with a fragrant herb-garlic butter sauce, paired beautifully with crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish blends robust flavors from perfectly seared lean steak and aromatic garlic with fresh herbs, while the baby potatoes offer a satisfying, tender complement – all in a balanced meal that’s both comforting and invigorating.
INGREDIENTS
4.5 oz Lean Steak (Top Sirloin)
100 grams Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Toss the baby potatoes with half the olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Spread them on the baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and lightly crispy.
Season the lean steak on both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat the remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust time to desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, reduce heat to medium-low, add butter, crushed garlic cloves, and rosemary sprigs, and spoon the herb-garlic butter over the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve the steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes, drizzled with any remaining herb butter from the pan.
