A vibrant bowl featuring crispy, golden tofu infused with a bold sesame ginger glaze, served atop tender roasted broccoli and warm edamame. This dish delivers a satisfying crunch and deep umami flavor, making it a nourishing meal that delights with every bite.
INGREDIENTS
320g Firm Tofu
150g Broccoli
75g Shelled Edamame
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tsp Fresh Ginger (grated)
1 clove Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Cornstarch
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the broccoli with a bit of sesame oil, salt, and pepper, then spread on a baking sheet. Roast for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
Meanwhile, press the tofu to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
Lightly dust the tofu cubes with cornstarch to help them crisp up in the pan.
In a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of sesame oil and pan-fry the tofu until all sides are golden and crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the soy sauce and add the sesame seeds to create a quick glaze. Toss the tofu in this mixture, ensuring it is well coated.
Gently stir in the shelled edamame to warm through.
Plate the roasted broccoli as the base, and top with the crispy glazed tofu and edamame. Drizzle any remaining pan sauce over the top.
Serve immediately and enjoy your nutritious, flavorful meal.
