Enjoy a vibrant twist on salmon with a crunchy pistachio crust paired with a zesty citrus-ginger glaze. The rich, tender salmon meets the satisfying texture of crushed pistachios and a bright, tangy glaze, making every bite a delightful balance of savory and refreshing flavors.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Salmon Fillet
1/4 cup Raw Pistachios (unsalted)
2 tablespoons Fresh Orange Juice
1 teaspoon Fresh Ginger
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel and season lightly with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine the crushed raw pistachios with a little salt and pepper. Use a food processor or place the pistachios in a sealed bag and gently crush them until coarsely ground.
Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon and press the crushed pistachios onto the top side of the fillet to form a crust.
Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is just cooked through and the pistachio crust is lightly toasted.
While the salmon bakes, prepare the citrus-ginger glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the fresh orange juice and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and reduce slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
Once baked, remove the salmon from the oven and spoon the citrus-ginger glaze over the top. Serve immediately.
