PREPARATION
Bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan. Stir in the rolled oats and reduce the heat to a simmer, cooking for about 5 minutes until the oats absorb the water and become creamy.
While the oats are cooking, prepare the soft-boiled eggs by bringing a small pot of water to a boil, carefully lowering the eggs into the water, and boiling for 6-7 minutes. Remove and place them in an ice bath to halt cooking, then peel gently.
