Savor the rich flavors of a perfectly seared sirloin steak enhanced with a vibrant herb-garlic butter, served alongside crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish balances savory steak with a burst of aromatic herbs for a satisfying, nutrient-packed meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
0.5 cup Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.5 tbsp Herb-Garlic Butter
1 Garlic Clove (minced)
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
Salt and Pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F to roast the baby potatoes.
Toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and half of the minced garlic. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and lightly crispy.
While the potatoes are roasting, pat the sirloin steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a small drizzle of olive oil and sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on thickness.
During the last minute of cooking, add the herb-garlic butter, remaining garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the pan. Spoon the melting butter over the steak to infuse it with herbaceous flavor.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Plate the sliced steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes and garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired.
