INGREDIENTS
6 ounce Salmon Fillet (170g)
8 spears Asparagus (120g)
1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter (14g)
2 cloves Garlic
2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (Parsley & Thyme)
1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper, lemon zest, and chopped fresh herbs.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillet skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes until a crispy crust forms.
Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through.
While the salmon cooks, trim the ends of the asparagus and set aside.
In a separate small pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the asparagus to the garlic butter and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp, stirring occasionally to coat evenly.
Plate the salmon fillet and arrange the garlic butter asparagus beside it. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the pan over the top for enhanced flavor.
