INGREDIENTS
4 oz Lean Ground Turkey
1 cup Fresh Spinach
1/4 cup Caramelized Yellow Onion
2 Whole Grain Slider Buns
2 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
Add sliced yellow onion to the skillet and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until they become soft and caramelized (about 10-12 minutes).
In a bowl, season the lean ground turkey with salt and pepper. Form the turkey into small, slider-sized patties.
In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high and cook the turkey patties for about 3-4 minutes per side or until fully cooked.
Lightly toast the whole grain slider buns either in a toaster or in a dry pan.
Spread Dijon mustard on the inside of each bun. Place a layer of fresh spinach on the bun base, add the cooked turkey patty, and top with a spoonful of caramelized onions.
Assemble the sliders by placing the top bun over the onions and serve immediately.
