Crispy Sesame-Glazed Tofu Stir-Fry
Savor a vibrant stir-fry featuring crispy tofu cubes glazed with a savory sesame-soy sauce, tossed together with crunchy bell peppers, fresh broccoli, and edamame. This colorful dish balances textures and flavors, enhanced by a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds and green onions.
INGREDIENTS
250g Extra-Firm Tofu
0.5 cup Shelled Edamame
1 medium Red Bell Pepper
1 cup Broccoli
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
2 pieces Green Onions
1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tsp Rice Vinegar
1 clove Garlic
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
In a bowl, combine the low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and half of the sesame seeds to create the glaze.
Heat the sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tofu cubes and fry until all sides are golden and crispy, about 6-8 minutes.
Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside. In the same skillet, add the chopped red bell pepper and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften but remain crisp.
Add the shelled edamame and return the crispy tofu to the pan. Pour the prepared glaze over the mixture and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
Cook for an additional 2 minutes to let the flavors meld, then remove from heat.
Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of the remaining sesame seeds before serving.
