INGREDIENTS
5 ounces Beef Sirloin Steak
150 grams Baby Potatoes
5 grams Unsalted Butter
1 Garlic Clove
1 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 425°F for the roasted baby potatoes.
Toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes until golden and tender.
Pat the beef sirloin steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the desired level of doneness is reached.
In the last minute of cooking, reduce heat to medium-low, add the unsalted butter, crushed garlic, and fresh herbs to the skillet. Tilt the pan and spoon the melted herb-garlic butter over the steak to baste it.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve the seared steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes, drizzled with any remaining herb-garlic butter from the pan.
