Herb-Crusted Pan Seared Steak with Roasted Garlic
Savor this beautifully pan-seared sirloin steak with a fragrant herb crust and sweet, mellow roasted garlic. The aromatic rosemary and thyme pair perfectly with the rich flavor of the steak for a satisfying meal that’s as elegant as it is simple.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
3 roasted Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Fresh Rosemary
1 tsp Fresh Thyme
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Wrap the garlic cloves in aluminum foil and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until soft and caramelized.
While the garlic is roasting, pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, combine the chopped roasted garlic (squeeze out the softened cloves), fresh rosemary, fresh thyme, and olive oil to create an herb paste.
Rub the herb mixture evenly over both sides of the steak.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your preferred doneness.
Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the skillet and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
