Fresh Crispy Chicken Caesar Lettuce Wraps
Crunchy, flavorful chicken wraps that combine a crispy, air-fried breaded chicken breast with fresh romaine lettuce, a drizzle of low-fat Caesar dressing, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for a delicious twist on a classic salad. Perfect for a light yet satisfying meal any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast (170g)
2 cups Romaine Lettuce (100g)
1/4 cup Whole Wheat Breadcrumbs (28g)
1 Egg White (33g)
1 oz Low-Fat Caesar Dressing (28g)
1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese (5g)
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F or heat your air fryer as per manufacturer instructions.
In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg white to create a binding agent. In a separate plate, spread out the whole wheat breadcrumbs.
Dip the chicken breast in the egg white, then coat evenly with the breadcrumbs.
Place the breaded chicken on a lightly greased baking sheet or in the air fryer basket. Bake or air fry until the chicken is cooked through and crispy on the outside, about 18-20 minutes (air fryer may require slightly less time).
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the romaine leaves. Arrange the leaves on a plate as the base for your wraps.
Once the chicken is ready, slice it into strips and place on top of the lettuce.
Drizzle the low-fat Caesar dressing over the chicken and lettuce.
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, then fold the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
