Herb-Crusted Seared Salmon with Quinoa
Enjoy a beautifully seared salmon fillet encrusted with fragrant herbs served atop a fluffy bed of quinoa. This dish combines the rich, tender flavor of salmon with the nutty, light texture of quinoa, accented by a drizzle of olive oil and a splash of lemon for brightness.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Salmon Fillet
1/2 cup cooked Quinoa
1 tsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
1 tsp Fresh Thyme
1 clove Garlic
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
Mix chopped fresh parsley, thyme, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
Lightly coat the salmon fillet with olive oil and press the herb mixture onto the surface to create a crust.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon skin-side down and sear for about 3-4 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through to your preference.
While the salmon is cooking, warm the cooked quinoa in a small saucepan or microwave if needed.
Plate the quinoa as a bed and place the seared salmon on top. Drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with extra fresh herbs if desired.
