INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast (170g)
1/4 cup Marinara Sauce (60g)
1 tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese (5g)
1/4 cup Whole Wheat Breadcrumbs (15g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (4.5g)
2 tbsp Fresh Basil
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley
Pinch of Salt & Pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Pat the chicken breast dry and season both sides lightly with a pinch of salt and pepper.
In a shallow dish, combine the whole wheat breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, and a small pinch of salt and pepper.
Drizzle the chicken with olive oil, then press both sides into the breadcrumb mixture to coat evenly.
Place the coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
In the last 5 minutes of baking, spoon the marinara sauce over the chicken and allow it to warm.
Once baked, garnish with fresh chopped basil and parsley before serving.
