Savor a beautifully seared lean steak brushed with a delicate herb-garlic butter, paired with crispy roasted baby potatoes. This dish offers an elegant blend of savory meaty flavors and aromatic garden herbs, creating a satisfying meal perfect for any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Sirloin Steak
100g Baby Potatoes
1 tsp Unsalted Butter
1 Garlic Clove
2 Tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Wash the baby potatoes and halve them if large; toss them with olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and spread on a baking sheet.
Roast the potatoes in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden and tender, stirring halfway through.
While the potatoes roast, pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak; sear for about 3 minutes each side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness).
In the last minute of cooking, add butter, minced garlic, and fresh herbs to the pan. Spoon the melting herb-garlic butter over the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 3 minutes.
Plate the rested steak with the roasted baby potatoes on the side and drizzle any remaining pan sauce over the top. Serve immediately.
