Enjoy a vibrant and satisfying dish featuring crispy, golden tofu cubes paired with tender broccoli, all enveloped in a fragrant garlic ginger sauce. This meal offers a delightful combination of textures and flavors, perfect for a nourishing dinner.
INGREDIENTS
400 g Extra Firm Tofu
1 cup Broccoli Florets
2 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Fresh Ginger
1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tsp Rice Vinegar
1 tsp Maple Syrup
1 tsp Cornstarch
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Canola Oil
PREPARATION
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
Lightly toss tofu cubes in a bowl with cornstarch to coat evenly.
Heat canola oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the tofu cubes and pan-sear until all sides are golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove tofu and set aside.
In the same skillet, add sesame oil and sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Stir in low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, and maple syrup. Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes to meld the flavors.
Return the tofu to the skillet and toss gently to coat with the garlic ginger sauce.
In a separate pan or microwave, lightly steam the broccoli florets until just tender, about 3-4 minutes.
Plate the crispy tofu with the steamed broccoli on the side, drizzle any remaining sauce over the top, and serve immediately.
