Layer one slice of bread with a thin spread of basil pesto.
Add sliced turkey breast evenly over the pesto, followed by slices of fresh mozzarella and tomato.
Drizzle a little extra basil pesto on top of the tomato, if desired.
Place the assembled open-faced sandwich on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until the mozzarella starts to melt and lightly bubble.
