This dish offers a flavorful balance of savory meat and fresh veggies, perfect for any meal of the day.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Sirloin Steak
1 medium Bell Pepper
1 Whole Wheat Tortilla
1/4 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (Light)
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to your preferred doneness.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
In the same skillet, add sliced bell pepper and sauté until slightly softened, about 2-3 minutes.
Place the whole wheat tortilla on a flat surface, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on one half of the tortilla, then layer with sliced steak and sautéed bell pepper.
Fold the tortilla over to enclose the filling and return to the skillet. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until the cheese melts and the tortilla is golden and crispy.
Slice into wedges and serve warm.
