Enjoy a savory twist on your favorite steak with a herb crust and the rich, mellow flavor of roasted garlic. A perfect balance of protein and flavor, this dish brings together a tender sirloin steak, aromatic rosemary and thyme, and sweet roasted garlic for an elegant yet homey meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Sirloin Steak
2 garlic cloves
0.5 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Fresh Rosemary
1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F for roasting the garlic.
Peel the garlic cloves, drizzle them with a small amount of olive oil, and wrap in foil. Roast in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until soft and fragrant.
While the garlic roasts, pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme on both sides.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining olive oil. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust time for preferred doneness.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain.
Plate the sliced steak and top with the roasted garlic cloves. Serve immediately and enjoy the burst of herbaceous and roasted garlic flavors.
