Savor the rich flavors of a perfectly seared steak infused with aromatic herb-garlic butter paired with golden roasted baby potatoes. This dish brings together a symphony of savory, herby notes and crispy textures, making it a delightful meal for any time of day.
INGREDIENTS
4 oz Lean Sirloin Steak
100g Baby Potatoes
0.5 tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 Garlic Clove
1 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Wash the baby potatoes and cut them in half if they are larger, then toss with a drizzle of olive oil (optional), salt, and pepper.
Roast the potatoes on the baking sheet for about 20-25 minutes until golden and tender.
While the potatoes roast, pat the steak dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add the steak. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cook time as preferred.
In the last minute of cooking, add the butter, minced garlic, and fresh herbs to the skillet, spooning the melted herb-garlic butter over the steak.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Plate the rested steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes and drizzle any remaining herb butter over the top. Serve immediately.
