Seared Salmon with Steamed Asparagus and Cauliflower Mash
Enjoy a vibrant, balanced dinner featuring perfectly seared salmon paired with tender, fresh steamed asparagus and a creamy cauliflower mash. This dish showcases a beautiful interplay of flavors with a hint of garlic and olive oil accentuating the natural taste of each ingredient.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Salmon Fillet
1 cup Asparagus
1 cup Cauliflower
2 tsp Olive Oil
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat 1 tsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon skin-side down and sear for about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked to your desired doneness.
While the salmon cooks, steam the asparagus in a steamer for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
For the cauliflower mash, steam the cauliflower florets until very tender (about 8-10 minutes). Transfer to a bowl, add 1 tsp olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper, and mash until smooth. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed asparagus and top with a generous serving of cauliflower mash. Serve warm.
