INGREDIENTS
4 oz Chicken Breast
3 Whole Wheat Dumpling Wrappers
1 cup chopped Cabbage
1 medium Carrot
1 Egg White
2 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Parsley & Basil)
1 tsp Olive Oil
PREPARATION
Finely dice the chicken breast and mix it in a bowl with the chopped cabbage, grated carrot, egg white, and fresh herbs. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper if desired.
Place a spoonful of the chicken and vegetable mixture in the center of each whole wheat dumpling wrapper.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold into your preferred dumpling shape, and press firmly to seal.
Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Arrange the dumplings in the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd, and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Add a splash of water to the skillet and cover immediately to let the dumplings steam for an additional 3-4 minutes until the filling is cooked through.
Remove from heat and serve warm either on their own or with a light dipping sauce of your choice.
