INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast (170g)
1 large Egg White (33g)
1/3 cup Panko Bread Crumbs (30g)
1/4 cup Fresh Orange Juice (60g)
1 tsp Avocado Oil (4.5g)
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder (0.75g)
Salt and Black Pepper (pinch each)
1 tbsp Green Onion (optional, 4g)
PREPARATION
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
Pat the chicken breast dry and slice it into bite-sized pieces or strips for even cooking.
In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg white until slightly frothy.
In another bowl, combine the panko bread crumbs with garlic powder, a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg white, then coat evenly in the seasoned panko mixture.
Lightly drizzle or brush the coated chicken pieces with avocado oil.
Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the coating is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
While the chicken is air frying, gently heat the fresh orange juice in a small saucepan over medium heat. Optionally, add a bit of orange zest for extra flavor, and simmer for 2-3 minutes to slightly reduce the sauce.
Once the chicken is done, toss it briefly in the warm orange sauce or drizzle the sauce over the top.
Garnish with chopped green onions if desired before serving.
