Seared Salmon with Steamed Asparagus and Garlic Mashed Cauliflower
Enjoy a succulent seared salmon paired with vibrant steamed asparagus and a creamy garlic-infused mashed cauliflower. Each component is perfectly cooked to create a light, satisfying dinner that not only pleases the palate but also meets your nutritional goals.
INGREDIENTS
6.5 oz Salmon Fillet (184g)
6 Asparagus Spears (90g)
1 cup Cauliflower Florets (107g)
2 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the salmon fillet dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the salmon, skin-side down first if applicable, for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the fish is just cooked through.
While the salmon cooks, steam the asparagus in a steamer or a pot with a little water for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
In a small saucepan, combine cauliflower florets, garlic cloves, and a splash of water. Bring to a simmer and cook until the cauliflower is soft, about 8-10 minutes.
Drain the cauliflower and garlic, then transfer to a bowl. Add the olive oil and mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Plate the seared salmon alongside the steamed asparagus and a generous serving of garlic mashed cauliflower. Serve immediately.
