Savor a perfectly pan-seared top sirloin steak adorned with an aromatic herb crust, paired with tender roasted garlic mushrooms that offer a burst of umami. This dish balances bold flavors with a light finish, making it an ideal choice for a cooked-to-perfection, health-conscious meal.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Top Sirloin Steak (170g)
1 cup Button Mushrooms (70g)
1 tsp Olive Oil (5g)
1 clove Garlic (3g)
1 tbsp Mixed Fresh Herbs
1 tsp Butter (5g)
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Mix the fresh herbs in a small bowl and press them onto the surface of the steak to form a crust.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Place the herb-crusted steak in the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms and the steak reaches your desired doneness.
While the steak rests, add the mushrooms and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and slightly caramelized.
Finish the mushrooms with a teaspoon of butter, stirring until melted and well combined with the garlic.
Plate the steak and top with the roasted garlic mushrooms. Serve immediately and enjoy.
