This dish offers a delightful balance of textures and bright flavors to invigorate your palate.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Shrimp
1 half Avocado
1 medium Tomato
1 half Cucumber
1/4 cup Red Onion (diced)
1 small Jalapeño
2 tbsp Lime Juice
1/4 cup Orange Juice
2 tbsp Cilantro
PREPARATION
Peel and devein the shrimp if not pre-prepared, then rinse and pat dry.
In a bowl, combine lime juice and orange juice to create the citrus marinade.
Cut the shrimp into bite-sized pieces and add them to the citrus marinade. Allow to marinate for about 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator, turning once halfway through.
While the shrimp is marinating, dice the avocado, tomato, and cucumber into small, uniform cubes. Finely chop the red onion, jalapeño (removing seeds if less heat is desired), and cilantro.
Once the shrimp has marinated and turned opaque, gently mix the shrimp with the diced avocado, tomato, cucumber, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro in a large bowl.
Season with a pinch of salt and additional lime juice if desired. Toss gently to combine all the flavors.
Serve immediately for a fresh, vibrant experience or chill for a few more minutes to let the flavors meld further.
