Herb-Crusted Pan Seared Chicken with Garlic Sauce
Savor a juicy, pan-seared chicken breast encrusted with a fragrant blend of fresh herbs, complemented by a creamy, tangy garlic sauce. This dish is designed to be both flavorful and balanced, making it a perfect meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
INGREDIENTS
5 oz Chicken Breast
1/3 cup Nonfat Greek Yogurt
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 clove Garlic
2 tbsp Fresh Mixed Herbs
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Finely chop the fresh herbs and garlic. Set aside half of the chopped herbs for the garlic sauce.
Coat the chicken breast evenly with the chopped herbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breast and sear for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and a golden crust forms.
In a small bowl, combine the nonfat Greek yogurt, minced garlic (from the reserved half), lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir well to create the garlic sauce.
Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Plate the chicken and drizzle the garlic sauce over the top. Garnish with the remaining fresh herbs if desired.
