Savor the delicious fusion of savory and sweet with tender chicken breast enveloped in a sticky ginger-garlic glaze. This dish boasts a perfect balance of aromatic ginger, robust garlic, and a hint of honey, creating an irresistible dish that's ideal for a satisfying dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Chicken Breast (170g)
1 tsp Fresh Ginger (2g)
1 clove Garlic (3g)
0.5 tbsp Honey (10g)
1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce (15g)
1 tsp Rice Vinegar (5g)
0.5 tsp Cornstarch (2g)
2 Scallions (10g)
PREPARATION
Pat the chicken breast dry and score lightly on both sides to allow the glaze to adhere better.
In a small bowl, grate or finely mince the ginger and garlic. Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and cornstarch to the bowl. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
Place the chicken breast in a shallow dish and pour half of the glaze over it. Let it marinate for at least 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and sear on both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Reduce heat to medium-low and pour the remaining glaze into the skillet. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken, turning the chicken occasionally to ensure even coating.
Once the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is sticky and clinging to the meat, remove the pan from heat.
Garnish with chopped scallions and serve immediately.
