Savor a perfectly pan-seared sirloin steak encrusted with fragrant rosemary and thyme, paired with sweet roasted garlic that infuses every bite with robust flavor. This dish strikes a delightful balance between lean protein and heart-healthy fats, making it an ideal option for a wholesome dinner.
INGREDIENTS
6 ounces Sirloin Steak
2 cloves Garlic
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Remove the sirloin steak from the fridge and pat dry with a paper towel.
Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper. Finely chop the rosemary and thyme, then press the herbs onto the steak to form a crust.
Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Once the oil is shimmering, add the steak to the pan. Place the garlic cloves (with their skins on to roast) around the steak.
Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare or adjust the time to your desired doneness.
Remove the steak and garlic from the skillet. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Peel the roasted garlic cloves and serve alongside or atop the sliced steak, enjoying the burst of savory, roasted flavor.
