Enjoy a perfectly seared steak infused with herb-garlic butter and paired with tender roasted baby potatoes. This dish delivers robust flavors with a balance of savory meat and crispy yet soft potatoes, making it a satisfying, gourmet meal.
INGREDIENTS
5 ounces Steak (Sirloin or Fillet)
80 grams Baby Potatoes
1 teaspoon Unsalted Butter
1 clove Garlic
1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (Rosemary & Thyme)
Salt & Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 425°F for the roasted baby potatoes.
Wash and halve the baby potatoes. Toss them with a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, and chopped fresh herbs.
Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
While the potatoes roast, pat the steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the steak. Sear for about 3-4 minutes per side or until a desirable crust forms.
In the final minute of cooking, add the unsalted butter, crushed garlic, and the fresh herb mix to the pan. Baste the steak with the melting butter.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Plate the steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes and drizzle any remaining herb-garlic butter over the top before serving.
