Savor a beautifully seared steak infused with herb-garlic butter, paired perfectly with tender roasted baby potatoes. This dish offers a balance of hearty protein and satisfying flavors, making it a delightful option for a wholesome dinner.
INGREDIENTS
5 ounces Top Sirloin Steak (approx 140g)
150 grams Baby Potatoes
1 Garlic clove
1 teaspoon Unsalted Butter
1 sprig Fresh Rosemary
1 sprig Fresh Thyme
Salt and Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Halve the baby potatoes and toss them with a pinch of salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil if desired. Spread them out on the tray.
Roast the potatoes in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until tender and slightly crispy on the edges.
While the potatoes roast, season the steak generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your preferred doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add the butter, crushed garlic clove, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet. Spoon the melted herb-garlic butter over the steak as it finishes searing.
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
Plate the steak alongside the roasted baby potatoes, drizzle any remaining pan sauce over the top, and serve immediately.
