Seared Salmon with Garlic Green Beans and Brown Rice
Enjoy hearty seared salmon paired with vibrant garlic green beans and a comforting bed of brown rice. The perfectly pan-seared salmon is seasoned with salt and pepper, while the garlic bursts with flavor in the sautéed green beans. Combined with nutty brown rice lightly tossed in olive oil, this dish offers a satisfying balance of savory, tangy, and wholesome flavors.
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Salmon Fillet
1.5 cups Cooked Brown Rice
1 cup Green Beans
1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 cloves Garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Lemon Wedge
PREPARATION
Rinse the salmon fillet and pat dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Bring a small pot of water to a boil and cook the brown rice according to package instructions if not already cooked.
In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillet, skin-side down first if applicable, and sear for about 4-5 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the flesh appears opaque and is cooked to your liking.
Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest on a plate.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté garlic for about 30 seconds to release flavor.
Add the green beans and sauté for 4-5 minutes until they are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally to coat them in the garlicky oil.
Plate the dish by placing a bed of brown rice on the plate, topping with the seared salmon, and arranging the garlic green beans alongside. Squeeze a lemon wedge over the salmon for a fresh finish.
