Garlic-Herb Pan Seared Tofu Steaks
Enjoy these savory tofu steaks with a burst of garlic and a medley of fresh herbs. Perfectly seared to achieve a golden crust while remaining tender on the inside, this dish brings a delightful balance of zesty lemon and aromatic rosemary and thyme.
INGREDIENTS
300 grams Extra Firm Tofu
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
2 Garlic Cloves
0.5 tablespoon Fresh Rosemary
0.5 tablespoon Fresh Thyme
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
PREPARATION
Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into 1/2-inch thick steaks.
In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
Lightly coat the tofu steaks with the herb mixture and let marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the tofu steaks in the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
Remove from heat and serve warm, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
