Enjoy a deliciously crisp mahi mahi layered with a crunchy pistachio crust, perfectly complemented by a fresh, tropical mango salsa. This dish offers a vibrant medley of textures and flavors that is as eye-catching as it is nutritious.
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Mahi Mahi Fillet
0.5 oz Raw Pistachios
1/3 cup diced Ripe Mango
1/4 cup chopped Red Bell Pepper
1 tbsp minced Red Onion
1 tbsp Fresh Lime Juice
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 tbsp chopped Fresh Cilantro
PREPARATION
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and prepare a shallow dish with finely chopped pistachios. Season the mahi mahi fillet with salt and pepper.
Lightly brush the fillet with extra virgin olive oil, then press its top side into the chopped pistachios to create an even crust.
Place the fillet in the skillet, crust side down, and sear for about 3 minutes until the crust is golden. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
While the fish cooks, combine diced mango, red bell pepper, red onion, lime juice, and cilantro in a small bowl to make the mango salsa. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the fish is cooked, transfer it to a serving plate and spoon the fresh mango salsa on top. Serve immediately and enjoy the blend of crisp texture with tropical flavors.
